January 14th, 2026 — A New Beginning
January 14th, 2026 is approaching — a date that carries deep meaning for the children at Thalitha Cumi.
For some of our children, this will be their very first day of school. A moment filled with excitement, nervous smiles, and the quiet hope of a new beginning.
This is the kind of moment your donations make possible. Moments where preparation replaces uncertainty, and dignity replaces worry.
In the days leading up to the start of school, our management team purchased stationery and school supplies to ensure that every child would walk into the classroom feeling prepared and confident.
We also received stationary donations, which meant, every stationery need for the children who would be attending school was covered.
Because of your generosity, our team was able to come together to organise, label, and carefully pack each child’s school bag. Every pencil, book, and crayon was placed with intention and care.
Each bag told a story — a child seen, supported, and reminded that they are not alone.
This is what your support looks like — children stepping into school ready, confident, and filled with hope.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Mathilda, Sophie, Gail, Hands and Feet and TableTops Funitures for their generous donations towards stationery and school supplies. Your kindness has made a lasting impact on the lives of our children.
Stay tuned as we share more about their very first day of school.
